Matthias Latzel
Matthias Latzel studied electrical engineering at the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) and the Technical University Vienna (Austria). Before joining Phonak in 2011, he gained practical experience at the University Hospital in Giessen and worked for other hearing aid manufacturers in product development and basic research. Today he is Clinical Research Manager and responsible for Phonak's studies with external partners. He also gives lectures at the Austrian AHAKI training center in Innsbruck. Matthias Latzel is married and has one daughter. He lives in Upper Franconia directly at the gateway to Franconian Switzerland. In addition to a good Kölsch (beer), his heart beats for Italian red sports cars and the East Westphalian football club.
