Family members can help patients with hearing loss make decisions about their management options. And when supportive, they can even increase the uptake of hearing aids.
Jill Preminger
Dr. Preminger is Professor and Director of the Program in Audiology, University of Louisville School of Medicine. Her research interests are in adult rehabilitative audiology using both quantitative and qualitative methods. She is interested in understanding the audiologic rehabilitative process (including the uptake and use of hearing aids) from the point of view of adults with hearing loss, their spouses, and their adult children.
