How is Phonak striving to deliver an unrivaled experience?

Reliability is about consistency. Shannon Basham, AuD, Senior Director of Audiology and Education, shares the ways Phonak is striving to go beyond the norm.

Phonak. The very name resonates with a legacy that spans over 75 years in audiological heritage and reputation. What comes to mind when you think of Phonak? Power and Peds, perhaps?

As we embark on a journey to explore the heart of who we are and where we’re headed, we see a few areas we are prioritizing to ensure patients and hearing care professionals have a consistent experience with us.

A legacy of reliability

In the vast landscape of brands, reliability stands out as a defining factor. Consider McDonald’s® restaurant company – a symbol of predictability. No matter where you are in the world, you can count on that familiar taste and experience.

Whether you’re a fan or not, you probably have very steady expectations of McDonald’s. They offer a uniform experience. Whereas when you think of a car from the 1980’s, no matter the brand, those products had a huge parts-per-million failure rate: quite the opposite from what consumers or dealers wanted.  At Phonak, we draw inspiration (or warnings) from such reliability examples – our commitment goes beyond burgers and fries.

The comparisons that matter

As we compare ourselves to other big brand and industries, we embrace our heritage of Swiss precision. This means that we invest continuously to perfect our processes. Each new hearing aid model we release undergoes 128 unique tests and 9,600 hours of full system testing.

To be as consistent as that McDonald’s burger is non-optional: in hearing-healthcare the stakes are higher. We understand that our customers have expectations, and we are dedicated to not just meeting but exceeding them.

Four ways we prioritize your practice

Innovative hearing aids that deliver exceptional quality and reliability demands resolute dedication. Here are some of the ways we prioritize you and your practice.

As we think about your patients, we know that they have diverse needs in an ever-changing world. We want to help you provide life-changing solutions to anyone who comes through your practice doors. To do this, we’ve established an unwavering commitment to innovation.

We don’t just aim to meet industry standards; we strive to set them. Our focus on pioneering life-changing solutions pushes us to stay at the forefront of hearing technology, ensuring that every product we offer can address the demands your clients today and tomorrow.

Did you know that we have thousands of audiologists worldwide working for us? Many of us have sat in clinic before our days at Phonak started. These deep roots in audiology and business management creates a passion in us for your practice.

There’s so much for you to accomplish – if we can lend our expertise to drive your in-clinic success, business development, and empower you with the latest education, we will.

Similar to the unwavering path of our innovation, our commitment to quality ensures a consistent and reliable experience for our users. We believe in pushing our hearing aids past their limits in our labs, not on your patients’ ears. A hearing aid that’s, ‘good enough’ simply isn’t good enough.

Customer experience
While a fast-food chain may leave you with a predictable meal, Phonak aims to leave you with an unforgettable experience. Our customer service areas go beyond the minimal requirements, ensuring that every interaction with Phonak is as remarkable as the life-changing solutions we provide.

Changing lives, one reliable step at a time

When you think of Phonak, think beyond just a brand. Think of a reliable partner in your hearing healthcare journey. A core value at Phonak is for each and every team member to “Strive for Excellence.” From innovation to expertise, quality, and customer experience, each of our team members is committed to going beyond expectations and changing lives one reliable step at a time.

  1. I have been wearing Paradise 90 battery hearing aids for 3 years and will be looking at newer hearing aids soon. I have trialed Lumity rechargeables twice and they do not work for the length of day that I need the battery to be charged. The next hearing aids I purchase must have manual batteries.
If you follow the Phonak Facebook group comments you will see that the majority of people who comment agree that having the choice of manual batteries is a must.
To have to top up rechargeables every day is a deal breaker for me.

  2. I agree! I love my Phonak Virto custom aids. Not only do the FIT and WORK perfectly, but I can carry a card of ‘312’s with me and never have to worry. AND I don’t have to get a new pair of aids just because a rechargeable battery has reached its charging cycle limit!

    I agree !
wanting to get new aids , a phonak user for 20 years.
if the only choice is rechargeable, I will go elsewhere !

  4. Thank you very much for your comments. We appreciate getting first-hand feedback and will share your comments with our colleagues at Phonak.
