10,000 hours and 135 stringent tests— Phonak Infinio hearing aids are proven to be tough!
IP68 rating. Is that really enough? Discover how the Infinio hearing ecosystem surpasses IP68 standards, engineered to meet the real-life challenges your clients face every day.
What does it mean to your clients to have reliable hearing aids?
They want to make sure that when they get up in the morning their hearing aids are charged. Absolutely they do. But they need more than that.
They need to be confident that their hearing aids are ready for everyday life. Whether they are living or traveling in a hot country, love being active, enjoy life outdoors or spend time around water, they need hearing aids that can keep up with their lifestyle. This reliability extends even when they are streaming their favorite songs or talking with their favorite people.
Every person with a hearing loss needs a device they can count on. With Infinio, we have an entire hearing ecosystem that has been designed, engineered, and tested with Swiss precision, proven to withstand the challenges of everyday life.
And for you, you can enjoy peace of mind that you are fitting a product that your clients can rely on.
Our products are developed and proven with over 10,000 hours and 135 individual stringent tests.* This far exceeds the standard required for an IP68 rating.** All this translates into minimizing the time spent trouble shooting and following up for support. The 3rd generation of Life-technology protection with water resistant and sweatproof technology is now a standard offer across the whole Phonak Audéo Infinio range.
Multiple levels of defense
The protected housing parylene-coated internal circuitry and additional battery protection make your Audéo Infinio hearing aids ready for rain, ready for dust, ready for life.
- Protected housing
The first level of defense is the plasma coating applied to the housing. What does this mean? It means that there is a teflon-like hydrophobic coating that protects the liquid from getting into the hearing aids. This hydrophobic coating protects the hearing aid against liquid ingress.
- Parylene-coated internal circuitry
The parylene coating of the internal electronic parts of the hearing aids protect against environmental stress, ingress of moisture, dust and trapped air pockets. Parylene is a conformal coating which covers every surface with a consistent layer of coating material. This provides a superior protection compared to traditional coatings.
- Additional battery protection
The rechargeable battery is a very sensitive component in the hearing aid and requires reliable protection. Battery protection designs have evolved with every product generation, ensuring the most robust and reliable solution.
With Infinio, we have taken the protection a step further by using laser welding to provide a greater seal and greater protection for the parts of the battery compartment that provide the current to the rest of the hearing aid components.
- Protected microphone
The design of our microphone inlet helps to protect the microphone from damage.
- Receiver design
The receiver has two components that protect it and the pin-less receiver port from moisture. The first is a gasket to minimize moisture entry into the pin-less receiver port and the second is coating of the contacts for additional protection.
Our goal is for your clients to use their Phonak hearing aids as long as possible each day for the devices’ lifespan. At Phonak, we believe in pushing the boundaries of excellence and durability to ensure our products exceed your (and your clients’) expectations.
*Sonova applies the 135 individual stringent tests to all our products.
**An IP68 rating means a device is fully dust-proof and can be submerged in water beyond 1 meter.
