Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 — conversations instantly stand out

At the heart of EON’s adaptive clarity is Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0. This patented approach extracts and enhances speech signals from any direction, reducing distractions coming from all around so listeners can focus on the voices that matter.

In realistic test setups, Spheric Speech in Loud Noise achieves up to a 10 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).¹ In a separate comparison with hearing aids using the same settings without Spheric Speech Clarity, it improved speech understanding by up to 50% and reduced listening effort by up to 37%.²

HYPERSONIC chip — more efficient, big in performance

EON introduces the new HYPERSONIC™ chip which is more efficient than the previous generation and supports all‑day performance in a smaller, sleeker RIC.

For audiologists, EON helps address a longstanding trade-off: Historically, advances in performance came at the expense of size, comfort, battery life, or complexity. EON changes that equation, delivering the clarity people need in a smaller, more discreet device, true to the message, “Smaller than ever. Powerful beyond belief.”

AutoSense OS AI 8.0 — AI that understands when to act

Built on more than 25 years of AI learning, AutoSense OS AI 8.0 is the orchestrating system that activates features and functions contextually, based on the listening environment and utilizing sensor data, such as movement, to deliver peak performance throughout different listening environments.

ASOS AI 8.0 brings more nuanced activation for situations where speech is present in loud noise: the system is more robust to subtle changes in the listening scene and engages Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 earlier and for longer periods where it helps most.

That smoother behavior keeps wearers in EONs most beneficial mode, resulting in a more natural listening experience and allowing wearers to experience the direct benefit of the engaged features. This results in improved speech understanding, less listening effort and less fatigue at the end of the day.²

If a meaningful, sustained change of the environment happens, ASOS AI 8.0 engages different features and functions that benefit the user. For example, Speech Enhancer, which is proven to  improve intelligibility of speech from a distance in quiet conditions.³

APD 4.0 — higher fidelity when the world changes

A fitting formula may be invisible but has a direct impact on sound quality. Compression speed strategies, i.e. how fast and slow the gain in the hearing aids react to acoustic events, directly affect how natural and intelligible sound is. APD 4.0 activates different compression speed parameters in real time based on the listening environment.

Consider a conversation interrupted by a coffee machine starting. APD 4.0 adjusts its response to the sudden sound while helping preserve the clarity of speech. Compared with APD 3.0, it improves SNR in situations like these and provides higher sound fidelity.

WindBlock 2.0 – A word on wind

WindBlock 2.0 addresses another familiar outdoor challenge. We explore the feature in more detail in a separate blog post.

WindBlock 2.0 reduces wind noise by up to 50 dB and can improve the SNR by up to 30 dB compared with WindBlock 2.0 off.⁴ By reducing wind interference at the microphones, it helps users follow outdoor conversations while preserving access to surrounding sounds, including the sounds of nature.
